The class also includes a practical workshop that pairs the classroom instruction with actual patent writing, so if you have a current invention, by the end of the class you will have a complete provisional patent application, ready to submit with the USPTO.
Following the class, we also offer a Professional package that includes having the patent attorney upload the application via a secure and encrypted connection with the USPTO, so that your invention is protected and officially patent pending. We also docket the filing, so that you are given timely reminders about when to file a Utility patent application.

You have the option of preparing your own patent application during the workshop itself.
If you are interested in preparing a your own application, you will need to bring a laptop computer with access to ChatGPT or another suitable tool.
You should also prepare a detailed technical description of the invention, and bring the description for entry into the AI.
The use of AI carries a risk of data theft. While we consider the risk minimal, we recommend filing your provisional as soon as possible following use, to mitigate any danger or misappropriation.
